Commissioned in April 2024 for Tokai University Takanawadai High School Wind Ensemble`s competitions and other events. It became the sixth piece in my Symphonietta series. The composition develops around a theme that moves chromatically, which appears in several climactic moments throughout the piece. Even the chimes at the beginning are fragments of this theme.[Blossom of Breath] carries multiple meanings. Breath refers not only to breathing but also to vitality and liveliness. Since wind instruments produce music by breathing air into them, I envisioned the performers' breath and energy resonating together in a symphonic flow, ultimately blossoming into a grand and beautiful flower.
