Path of the Waves

Do you know the breathtaking sight of sunlight shimmering on waves as they roar into a grotto, only to emerge once more into the sunlight, spraying foam into the air and flowing in countless paths between the rocks?
This piece was written in 2006 as the free-choice work for Ryukoku University Symphonic Band's competition performance. I would be delighted if you could express the various forms of waves through a richly expressive performance.

Performance Notes:
"4 Rins on Timpani" [Measure 31, etc.]
Place four Rin (Buddhist bells) of different pitches on a 26-inch timpani and strike them with wooden mallets. Then, move the timpani pedal to create a vibrato effect.

"(+ Picc.)" [Measure 90]
The 2nd Flute part should also be played on Piccolo. If there is only one 2nd Flute player, they should switch to Piccolo for three measures starting from measure 90.
