This piece premiered at Anjo Gakuen"s 70th annual concert to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the school and the 60th anniversary of the band. The title ""Duas personas"" contains many nuances. The performers are asked to try and decipher the meaning of the title from the score.
The piece consists of two parts, which are quite different in character from each other.
The first piece, which begins with Wind Chime, has gentle, pale colors that gradually change. The various "colors" are expressed through changes in harmony and figuration. Please enjoy it.
The second piece, connected by a Timpani roll, turns into an energetic Allegro, with each section organically combining and developing, and the middle section, led by Tubular bells, is a dialogue between solo woodwinds. After returning to the Allegro, the theme of the first piece is recapitulated in a different orchestration, and the piece closes with a short coda.
Enjoy the changes and vibrancy of the "colors".
