Commissioned Soka Gloria Wind Orchestra's brass octet, a highly advanced group, for their ensemble contest appearance. The work has upper register and technically challenging features. Especially for the horn part, I wondered if such range was advantageous. The audience will be impressed by the production when completed. The song is ABA, fast slow fast, utilizing a few simple motifs.
