Composed in 2023 for a recording by Yumi Terada Percussion Ensemble "Drive". Although the trio is for pitch-less percussion, it sounds like singing when expressing the rhythm. Therefore, the title is "Rhythms Sing".
Spoken words have rhythm. It would make interesting music to perform as if speaking the rhythm. The tempo is constant from start to finish, and it would be enjoyable to vary the piece through intensity and volume.
Perc.1 and Perc.2 are free to select sticks or mallets. It is good to vary those choices for each phrase to affect balance and sound.
