This is a very simple work in which the lyrical and technical sections are clearly delineated. I think it is ideal not only for ensemble contest, but also for concert opening and encore. The technical part is repetitive sixteenth note runs from beginning to end, so it's not as difficult as it might seem. It will also be a good exercise for musical dialogue.
