"Rockport" is the name of a small seaside town on the east coast of the United States in Massachusetts.
Called the "town where painters want to draw," it's a beautiful and peaceful port town. From the traditional port buildings, calm beaches, iconic red lobster huts to small fishing boats, the scenery is quite picturesque.
The composer previously visited the city on a drive with his fiancee and composed this song based on the peaceful cityscape that remains in his heart, and the comforting feeling of that time.

This work was composed as a flexible quintet in 2019 and was dedicated to the composer's wife for their 15th wedding anniversary in the same year.
