I composed six variations on the theme of the familiar minuet in G major. In general, variations decorate or change the theme by altering rhythm or harmony. However, this work transforms the theme in "-style". In that sense, it should be a "paraphrase". This piece was arranged into a flute orchestra by commission of Professor Takako Shiraishi, and premiered by the Kansai Flute Orchestra.
