In a particular region of the world, dolls are considered incarnations of human souls. Shadows also depict the two dimensional human shape. A shadow being stepped on sometimes reflects courage and other times grief. It is normal that emotions follow specific events in our lives, just like our shadows follow us. By just staring at our shadows, emotions can't be seen. Nonetheless, I wonder what emotions my shadow reflects.(Masaki Itani)
