Three Morning Scenes is written for the second album of Yumi Terada Percussion Ensemble "Drive". Three scenes by the percussion instrument trio are in relation to three varied pitches that are transformed in each scene. Introduction, the first scene is a "gloomy city morning". I expressed the accumulated weariness and irritation in everyday life with a minimalist technique. The second scene is completely different and wrapped in an elegant atmosphere. The simple melody, rhythm, and harmony of mallet percussion sing with an open and refreshing morning. And then a morning filled with energy... you can say that it is an innocent child's scene. The drums respond to the melody of the mallet percussion, and the song ends with joy and excitement.
