As per the title, this song consists of three Finnish folk songs.There are two reasons why I chose Finnish folk songs:1) I like Scandinavian music. That nostalgic melody and sound moves the listeners' hearts. 2) A friend of mine living in Finland is a euphonium player.When I received a commission from TUBIUM, the group requested using folk songs. The folk songs used are "Pieni tyt?n tyller?inen (Little, Lovely Lass)", "Tuuli hiljaa henkailee (The Wind Is Softy Blowing)" and " Mansikka on punanen marja (The Strawberry is a Red Berry)". All are familiar sounding melodies that you can't help but hum when you listen to them.When selecting songs, I referred to a CD of "Finnish folk songs collection", but these three were the most memorable.
