Commissioned, and premiered by Honjo Minami Junior High School in July 2014.
This A-B-A, fast-slow-fast work is the fourth small band piece by Abe. While writing, the composer reevaluated the orchestration and sound structure of small instrumentation (small number of people) from scratch, and a concept of the most basic style of "Unison" was achieved.
This piece consciously uses unison, changing tone and dynamics through various combinations of wind instruments, woodwind groups, brass groups, and percussion instruments that control rhythm. Throughout the entire episode, irregular time has been avoided as much as possible to limit the difficulty level.
Those percussion playing an active role from the beginning should not be monotonous but should strive for varied, unique expression. For the slow middle section, emphasize the eighth note from the first half. Although there are many recapitulations, for ease of work, be aware of the meaning (variations) of the repeats and try to present them accordingly.
In addition, phantasmagoria means the illusion that changes through repetition, like flashback. Please express how various unisons can change like illusions.
