The source work is a flute sextet commission for the Matsumoto Flute Ensemble's 10th Anniversary Concert in 2007. After that, there were many requests to perform by other instrumentations, and I revised it into a small band version (16 people) and a mixed ensemble. Many hoped for the clarinet octet version so this "Divertimento V" was completed in 2011 for Wind Ensemble Kanade, a professional band based in the Kansai region.
