Stars are often considered entities beyond human intelligence, such as in fortune-telling and myths. There are surely many villages in the world that enshrine stars. I don't have an image of a place in particular, but I imagined a world of Japanese folk tales. (Like Susanoo-no-Mikoto, a god of ancient mythology). There are no correct answers, so I hope players freely interpret "Village of Star Prayer". If woodwind quintet instrumentation is difficult, you can substitute clarinet for oboe, bass clarinet or baritone saxophone for bassoon, and saxophone for horn, respectively.
