#1. "Percussion 2A" and "2B": Performers should choose and play one of these parts. (If there are enough players, both parts may be performed.)

#3. "Percussion 5": The crotale (high octave) part may be omitted.
#4. "Percussion 8 (Normal)": Some sections can be played on the xylophone.
