Commissioned by Tokyo Ryusei Symphonic Band. The piece is narrative having a vague image: "Opening an old logbook, I have a flashback of the adventure at that time." The sea is not specified but it must be near Ireland since tin whistle and bodhran are used. (You might envision a foreign sea somewhere in your imagination.) It is relatively difficult but rewarding work. When a tin whistle or bodhran is not available, a soprano recorder or tom-tom can be used as alternatives.An ocean drum is highly desired.
