Dance of Little Swans, Spanish Dance
I revised 2 songs for Octet out of the 5 that I arranged for clarinet choir as commissioned by the Kanazawa Clarinet Ensemble. "Dance of Little Swans" is the second movement of Swan Lake, a scene where girls turned into swans by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart dance around the shore. The "Dance of Four Little Swans" interests audiences with a lambent but sorrowful melody. "Spanish Dance" is the third movement, where Prince Siegfried chooses his future wife in the ballroom. It is grand and exotic in the style a bolero. *Both songs are arranged within a half step of the original.*The part of contrabass clarinet is replaceable with string bass; parts included.
