Responding to the earthquake that struck Hualien County, Taiwan on April 3, 2024, I express my deep condolences and prayers for peace to those affected. As a composer supported by the people of Taiwan, the thought of helping through music led me to write this chorale, with heartfelt emotions dedicated to recovery efforts.
The melody, which combines Western modes with the pentatonic scale, evokes a nostalgic mood that stirs a sense of longing for home. With feelings conveyed through music, let's unite our hearts!
I am sincerely grateful to Bravo Music for offering to publish this work.

[Performance Notes]
- This piece can be performed by at least 21 musicians. I've orchestrated a full sound for both large and small ensembles.
- Parts marked with "div." can be played as a single voice. Please refer to the score for details.
- The tempo marked as ♩ = 70 is a suggestion. Freely interpret tempo and dynamics.
- Adequate breath control will allow players to sing long melodies carefully. Breathe deeply to fully express each phrase.
- If incorporating a solo vocalist, consider using a microphone to balance with the band's volume. When multiple people are singing, ensure that the words are articulated clearly and expressively.
- Use this piece in a variety of settings, including rebuilding events, graduation ceremonies, as an encore, or in fundamental band training.
