Score
The source work is a saxophone trio that was later revised for wind orchestra.
The title theme is for a suite that is enjoyable for players and audience alike.
The first movement "Entrance" is a fanfare capturing the excitement of what awaits beyond the gate and the welcoming atmosphere of the amusement park.
The second, "Main Street", is a visual image of a distant street organ, clowns handing out balloons, a Ferris wheel in the distance, and so on.
In the third, "Haunted House", chromatic scales sound the appearance of ghosts.
The fourth, "Merry-Go-Round", is a graceful waltz. As it spins around, you can imagine the world of dreams.
The fifth, "Roller Coaster", is a fast movement. The ride is scary, but you can't help laughing as you are tossed about. Everyone should remember such a feeling.
