1. March (1:30)2. Intermezzo (3:00)3. Dance (1:30)
This chamber piece was written for the lobby concert of Simpatia Wind Orchestra and was premiered in March of 2019. The title is from the direct translation of "The work for a lobby concert" Originally it was an under-five minute piece for seven players (Fl/Ob/Trp/Hrn/Trb/Tuba/Perc). Adding other instruments, it performs well for smaller bands. The song consists three parts. The first is a 6/8 like march (4/4 on the score) having a sense of excitement to build anticipation. The second is an intermezzo, sad at first, but eventually revealing a hopeful spirit. The last is a dance with a clear sense of speed, repeating folk song-like phrases and rhythms to an ethnic drum beat that leads to the finale.
