The Season of Sun was commissioned by the Saitama Percussion Ensemble "Circle '90" in 2008. Vibraphone is featured prominently in the piece, inspired by a vibrant tropical city or a resort vacation. The warm wood sound of the marimba and the drum set with congas and brushes create an exotic atmosphere.A Latin prelude brings the first theme, evoking the image of this exotic place, followed by a relaxed second theme, concluding with a reprise of the opening theme and a coda. This piece is suitable for a wide range of occasions such as concerts, competitions, salon concerts, and music appreciation classes, and will add a certain flair to your program.
