This is a fast-paced, brassy, pops-style march. In the introduction, a bold first theme is sounded by the horn. It's then assumed by trombone and trumpet, as melodic lines and counter-lines ensue. After a woodwind bridge, the first theme reappears in a strong fanfare, which recedes. In the middle section, a gentle second theme is beautifully sung by exhilarating image as a whole will make an ideal concert opener or lively interlude.
