Commissioned for the 60th anniversary of the Panasonic Eco-Solutions Symphonic Band.All four movements are based on motifs beginning with "Do-Re-Mi" or "Mi-re-do," and one phrase from each movement is also used in the other movements, thus linking all together.The title of the piece was given by the orchestra members after its completion, "Il Filato," which means "The Thread" in Italian, to express these characteristics of the piece and at the same time to pray for continuing success of the commissioning organization.
